Many people don't know that we can help more than just spinal conditions, back pain and headaches. As Chiropractors we are experienced in treating and adjusting the joints of the hands, feet, elbows, knees, hips, shoulders, ribs and jaw. We regularly treat people with disc bulges and herniations, scoliosis, TMJ disorders, painful arches in their feet, numbness and tingling in the hands, painful rib joints, pregnancy aches and pains, painful joints in their extremities, asthma, allergies, chronic ear infections, infertility, gastrointestinal disorders and more. What one thing all these conditions have in common is that they need a properly functioning nervous system to improve. The aim of the Chiropractor is to improve the function of the nervous system so that the body may heal its self most efficiently thus reducing the ill effects of dis-ease.
Vertebral subluxations (restrictions of spinal movement and abnormal posture) and subluxations of the extremity joints (loss of range of motion of the arms or legs) prevent normal physiology and healing. A subluxation is defined as a joint or joints with abnormal movement or position negatively affecting nerve function and healing. Correction of these subluxations through Chiropractic adjustments and supportive exercises helps to restore normal physiology to the body and normal nerve function. This in turn restores normal healing and homeostasis. When your body heals better it also feels better.
