The 4 most common questions and answers about our care plans are:

1. How long will my posture take to correct?

Your length of care is determined by your phase of subluxation and the speed at which your body heals.

Phase 1 takes approximately 6 to 18 months of corrective care to reach maximum improvement. Phases 2 and 3 may take longer. Phase 4 can not be corrected because the bones of the spine have fused due to advanced degeneration. Posture maintenance care is recommended following corrective care.

2. How often will I have to receive care?

The most current research shows the fastest rate of correction occurs with 3 to 4 visits per week. Frequency of care is tapered to 1 to 2 visits per week as correction progresses. Posture maintenance consists of 1 visit per week.

3. How much will care cost?

Personal Injury care is billed directly to your insurance carrier. Workers Compensation covered injuries are also billed directly to the appropriate insurance carrier.

1-2 Level Chiropractic Adjustment - $52.53 (CPT 98940)

3-4 Level Chiropractic Adjustment - $72.79 (CPT 98941) - Most Common

5 Level Chiropractic Adjustment - $95.30 (CPT 98942)

Extremity Chiropractic Adjustment - $48.78 (CPT 98943)

Average out-of-pocket posture correction care fees range from $58 to $89 per week with typical health insurance benefits. Average out-of-pocket posture maintenance care fees range from $39 to $45 per week with typical health insurance benefits. We often bill monthly for care.

4. What percent of my care will my insurance cover?

Personal Injury Protection (PIP) insurance for car accidents covers 100% up to $15,000. Workers Compensation insurance covers 100% up to 30 days of care. Our insurance billing specialist will call to verify your out-of-network coverage on your first visit for Chiropractic, Massage and Physiotherapy. We offer up to a 35% discount for those without health insurance or if your care

is not partially covered by insurance.

We also accept credit cards and checks.

Please note that Health Insurance and Personal Injury Protection (Motor Vehicle Collisions) are not a guarantee of benefits. Payment for services is ultimately the responsibility of the patient.

Posture Correction and Disc Rehabilitation

Our doctors are trained in a wide variety of Chiropractic techniques. Our technique of expertise is Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP). CBP utilizes gentle postural adjustments personally tailored to each patient's needs. Adjustments may include use of the doctor's hands, an Omni Drop Table and sometimes a CBP Adjusting Instrument. CBP also uses postural exercises and traction designed to improve balance and symmetry throughout the whole body. The benefits of balanced posture include pain-free ranges of motion, improved balance, and increased strength and stamina. It is common for our patients to increase the thickness of the discs in their spine, grow taller, and stop the process of spinal degeneration (osteoarthritis). We help

patients with scoliosis to improve the alignment of their spines. Our doctors are Oregon state board licensed Chiropractic Physicians. Our doctors are licensed to perform Physiotherapy. They are also certified fellows of

Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP). See the clinical Chiropractic Biophysics research for more information.

Posture Maintenance

Once you have corrected your posture, increased your range of motion and flexibility, improved your balance increased your core strength and conquered all of the symptoms you were experiencing, you can maintain your

optimal health through wellness adjustments and exercises. Chiropractic maintenance care is an affordable way to keep your body in top shape and prevent future injuries and health concerns. Patients qualify for posture maintenance care when they have reached maximum improvements on their X-Rays and have achieved full range of motion. See the clinical Chiropractic Biophysics research below for more information.

Family Care/Wellness

We take pride in being able to provide care for your entire family. Many of our families have two or three generations of family members receiving corrective and wellness care from us. It is widely known that postural patterns run in the family, both good and bad. Often parents and grandparents will take one look at their X-Rays and say, "I need to get my

children's spines checked, I hope their spines do not look like mine." They are thinking about what they would've done differently had they known about vertebral subluxation (spinal misalignments) and the degenerative effects of

poor posture. Common familial spinal variants include: Loss of cervical (neck) curve, forward head carriage, forward rounded shoulders, a hump at the base of the neck and top of the shoulders, migraines/headaches, inflexibility, disc degeneration in both the neck and low back, low back

pain, slouching and scoliosis.

Pregnancy and Children

Before you become pregnant, our chiropractors can detect any imbalances in your spine and pelvis which would contribute to discomfort during pregnancy or neuromusculoskeletal problems after childbirth. Chiropractic adjustments are safe for pregnant women and their baby. They can be especially attractive to those mothers-to-be who are trying to avoid drugs and medications in treating their back pain.

Pregnancy can be tough on a mother's body and her daily routine to say the least. A mother-to-be experiences physiological changes at a rate second only to her developing child. The average 23-35 pounds that new mothers gain, combined with the loosening of ligaments puts new stresses on her body that can create aches and pains that last for months. Shifts in her spine can result from this change in physiology and often creates back pain. The weight of the child in the third trimester pressing down on the abdominal region can also create a host of neurological difficulties. In the few months following labor and delivery, a mother's ligaments that loosened during pregnancy begin to tighten up again. Improper lifting or reaching while pregnant may have resulted in joint problems in the spine, pelvis, arms and legs. These health problems should now be addressed before the ligaments have tightened up, creating future joint problems.

The benefits of receiving Chiropractic care while pregnant are numerous.
"First time moms averaged a 24% shorter labor." "Mothers who have already given birth, experienced a 39% reduction in the average labor length compared to controls" (Fallon, 1991). "Chiropractic adjustments during

pregnancy can reduce the likelihood of experiencing back labor as well" (Diakow, 1991). Our Chiropractic doctors are certified in the Webster Techniques which assists in turning breeches. After childbirth, Chiropractic care can also help. We highly recommend the Andaluz Waterbirth Center in

Tualatin, OR for expectant mothers. 503-885-0228

Seniors

The research shows that senior satisfaction with chiropractic care is very good. Chiropractic, in general, offers safe and cost-effective procedures for many musculoskeletal problems which can interfere with one's quality of life. Our doctors can show you how to increase your strength, improve your range of motion and get rid of your aches and pains. "Elderly chiropractic users were less likely to have been hospitalized, less likely to have used a

nursing home, more likely to report a better health status, more likely to exercise vigorously, and more likely to be mobile in the community. In addition, they were less likely to use prescription drugs." - Topics in Clinical Chiropractic, Coulter et al. (1996)
